2 Large Pears
1 Cup of Sugar
2 Cups of Red Wine
1/4 Cup of Raspberry balsamic vinegar
1 Tbsp Pumpkin Spice
1/3 Cup of Nuts Vanilla Ice Cream
- Peel the pears and cut them in half lengthwise. Remove the core, leaving the stem intact. Leave in lemon water.
- In a large skillet, combine the wine, UG balsamic vinegar, sugar, and spices. Heat and stir until sugar is dissolved, then add the pears. Simmer for 20 to 30 minutes until tender (depending on ripeness), occasionally turning to ensure a consistent color.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, drizzle the wine and balsamic reduction, and add nuts to garnish.
